I help founders and business leaders turn ideas into working software, without needing a technical team in place yet.

The problem I solve

You have a vision, a market, maybe even early customers. What you need is someone who can build the product, make the right technical decisions, and eventually hand it off to a team. Hiring a full engineering team on day one is expensive and risky. You need someone who can take you from "this is what we want to build" to "this is how we build it."

How I can help

Your technical co-founder

I build the first version of your product myself, frontend, backend, and everything in between. You get a working product to show investors and customers without hiring a team first. When the time comes to scale, I help you hire and onboard your first engineers.

Your interim CTO

If you already have a team but no technical leader, I step in to set direction, establish processes, and make sure the engineering is on track. I stay until you've found the right permanent hire, then I hand over cleanly.

Your technical advisor

Sometimes you just need a second opinion. I help you evaluate whether your current setup makes sense, what to build next, and whether you're spending money on the right things. No commitment, no retainer, just straight answers.

What it's like to work with me

I speak human, not jargon. You'll always know what we're building, why, and what it costs. No surprise bills or mysterious technical debt.

I build things that last. The product I hand you isn't a prototype held together with tape. It's something your future team can understand, maintain, and build on.

I'm honest about what you need. If something isn't worth building, I'll tell you before you pay for it.

I mentor the people I work with. If you have junior developers, I'll grow them. If you don't have a team yet, I'll help you hire one.

On AI

AI won't replace your engineers, but it changes what they spend time on. Instead of writing every line from scratch, they evaluate, guide, and verify what the tools produce. I use AI to speed up delivery and reduce cost where it makes sense, but I won't pretend it's a substitute for judgment. Done right, it accelerates your timeline. Done badly, it creates a mess that costs more to fix than it saved.

I help teams adopt AI where it actually pays off. That means integrating it into their workflows, setting guardrails so output is reviewed rather than trusted blindly, and making sure the time saved actually matters instead of turning into technical debt.

About me

I've spent the last ten years building software across startups and enterprise, from early prototypes to production systems serving real users. I've led teams, mentored engineers, and worked independently with clients who needed someone they could trust with the technical side of their business. I also mentor junior engineers and previously taught programming, because I think more people should be able to do this work.
